I’ve just released another album and his time I’m even more excited. I think this is the first time in my life I’ve been able to release music without letting any fears dictate to me if it will work our not. The projects called Faith’s Lullaby after my daughter Faith. The focus was to create an atmosphere that would allow my kids to sleep as they listened. Needless to say it work! It worked so good that my daughter starts crying when she hears it play. Mainly because she knows its time to go to bed. Faith’s Lullaby was I written/played/recorded in one segment which isn’t hard being that i’ve played the piano 4 or 5 hours straight in church with out stopping. The songs were create in faith not knowing the next note but just playing.

Life is filled with this kind of process and many times we over think. I mentioned the art of letting go in a earlier blog because for me its just that. See I’m a perfectionist mainly because I’m general thinking about how the people will receive it, did i do enough to it..blah blah blah. The reality is I have a responsibly to grow and by holding things until they are perfect (which doesn’t exist) I’m limiting my growth. We learn from our failures not our successes but we fear failing. However, the truth is there is no such thing as failure not unless you give up. Everything else is a step towards your goal. So the next time you decide to hold your idea or project back rather that release it, think again because you hindering your growth as well as the impact it could have in someone else’s life.
